About The Project

Although participants are aware of the importance of the forest garden system for food security and environmental protection, they do not have the material, technical, and financial resources to put them into practice. This is why Trees For The Future supports them in the production of trees (seeds and materials), the market garden seeds and technical support (training and monitoring techniques). This support decreases to ensure the autonomy of the participants at the end of the project.

Benefits For Farmers

In addition to year-round family support, the sale of fruits and vegetables has allowed farmers to take on some family expenses such as school expenses, health, and clothing. Also, the forest garden allowed to limit the rural exodus and immigration of rural youth to Europe.
The forest garden project made it possible to shorten or disappear the lean season and to give activities to farmers who did nothing during the dry season.
