About the Project

The wild success of Kaffrine 3, based in Nganda, spurred Trees for the Future's additional project just to the West of Nganda, near the Ndankou Forest. Nganda is a small town 25 kilometers South of Kaffrine, the area typically gets slightly more rain than their Kaffrine neighbors.

Meet the Kaffrine 7 Staff

Mountakha Dieng

Lead Technician - Kaffrine 7
Mountakha has managed local and regional initiatives for several years. His interested in agroforestry began at a young age when he spent time planting trees with his parents. He has been with the Trees for the Future team since early 2018 and became lead technician in April 2019.

Fatoumata Diédhiou

Country Coordinator - Senegal
After attending university, Fatoumata joined Trees for the Future as a trainee in monitoring and evaluation. She soon became an Assistant Coordinator before becoming Senegal Country Coordinator in 2019. She manages Forest Garden projects, project farmers, women's savings groups, and various special projects.
