About the Project

This project is on the border of Gambia, near Kaffrine 3 and Kaffrine 8. The 250 farmers come from 12 villages and are divided into 12 groups. The area is suitable for agriculture and market gardening, locals practice traditional agriculture and livestock farming. Senegalese and Gambian merchants buy in large quantities at the border, making for plenty of market opportunities for Forest Garden farmers.
