Senegal – Koungheul 2

Koungheul 2

Lead Technician - Koungheoul 2

About the Project

The project area includes 14 villages located between the city of Missirah and Maka Yop. It is an area conducive to livestock breeding and market gardening. Agricultural products are easily sold in the city of Missirah which is one of the largest livestock markets in Senegal. After the rainy season, market gardening takes over as the main activity in the area. Fertile farmland has become increasingly scarce because of peanut monoculture and close proximity to forests but the Forest Garden Approach is changing the landscape.
