Alexa grew up in a small town in New York, and became passionate about human rights issues and helping the environment at a young age. In May of 2020, she graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and a concentration in Development, where she studied issues such as women’s rights, equitable access to food and water, and migration. She was determined to find a way to join the fight in combating climate change while empowering vulnerable communities and was thrilled to make this dream a reality by working with Trees for the Future. When she’s not at work, Alexa enjoys exploring D.C.’s food scene, talking politics, listening to music, traveling, and hiking.
