Andrew Zacharias is the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) at Trees for the Future, where they are responsible for overseeing the organization’s data collection, analysis, and reporting processes to help track and improve the impact of TREES programs. Andrew brings over a decade of experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, and program management to the team. They are passionate about using data to drive evidence-based decision making and has a deep understanding of international development in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Andrew earned their Master of Public Administration from York University and led Trees for the Future in implementing cutting-edge data collection and analysis tools that have helped the organization achieve significant improvements in their program outcomes. They are committed to continuously improving their monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure TREES is making the greatest impact possible.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoys flying drones, distance running, and is actively involved in multiple local community groups. He lives in Donegal, Ireland with his wife and two children.
