After completing his secondary school studies in Koungheul, El Hadji began his career at Maka Yop. Later he worked for ASUFOR until 2013. That year, he was recruited by Proximity Security Assistance (ASP) and had the opportunity to work in the Water and Forest Services of Koungheul. That experience motivated him to join TREES. He became a part of the TREES team in 2019.
