Fortunatus received his BA in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Dodoma. During his studies, he founded a Youth Organisation in 2011, known as Kigamboni Integrated Youth Association (KIYA), and was the first chairperson. Soon after completing his studies, Fortunatus worked as a Tutorial Assistant at The Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy then later joined Nielsen as a Research Assistant. In 2016, he worked as a Research Assistant at Data Vision International/Population Services International,(PSI). He’s also worked with the Youth Agripreneur Program at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), training on the cassava value chain, post-harvest handling, and field data collection, allthewhile working as a part-time Tutorial Assistant at The Institute For Environment and Development Sustainability, (IEDS). From 2018-19, Fortunatus worked as an M&E Officer at SIKIKA. Currently, he’s applying his skills to his role at TREES as the country M&E Coordinator for Tanzania.
