Junior Walters

With personal roots spreading from rural Tennessee to some of the world’s most diverse cities, Junior is passionate about sustainable development through agroforestry on an international scale. Junior holds a B.A. with Honors in History from Rhodes College, where his research focused on agricultural cooperatives and activism in the Mississippi Delta. His interest in agriculture and food systems first led him to the Global Crop Diversity Trust in Bonn, Germany. Now as Marketing & Communications Coordinator at TREES, Junior runs the organization’s social media channels, manages the network of TREES Ambassadors, supports email marketing outreach and more. Outside of work, Junior is an obsessive home cook, a fervent cyclist and an avid explorer of the Washington, DC food scene.
