Katerina Bozhinova

Katerina’s passion for environmental work and love for nature stem from having lived in a beautiful area surrounded by small farms and mountains in her native Bulgaria before she moved to the U.S. in 2019. She advanced partner relations at the U.S. Green Building Council and the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project by cultivating and strengthening research and strategic partnerships. In addition to building connections, Katerina is passionate about sustainable food and agriculture and has supported various organizations in this field as a fundraising and business development consultant. Katerina holds an MSc in Sustainable Resource Management from the Technical University of Munich, with a specialization in Agricultural Land Use. Her research has focused on sustainability assessment of different agricultural land use types. In her free time, she can be found reading fiction, thrift shopping, spending time with her loved ones, and making plans for her next travel adventure.
