Lisa’s love of learning from agricultural communities around the world began when she was an undergraduate student introduced to principles of sustainable tropical agriculture. Her passion for finding sustainable solutions, informed by farmers’ expertise and experience, has led her across Africa, Asia, and Central America. Lisa has previously worked as a Project Manager for Creative Associates International and a Project Coordinator for ACDI/VOCA, where she advanced business development priorities and managed a portfolio of USAID-funded economic growth and agricultural development projects. A graduate of UC Davis’ International Agricultural Development MSc program, her research brought together producers and private sector stakeholders to evaluate critical challenges facing coffee production in Guatemala. Lisa also holds dual B.A. degrees in Political Science and International Affairs from Gordon College. In her role at TREES, she builds relationships with institutional partners to expand TREES’ current work and collaborate on new projects. When she’s not in the office, you can find her exploring restaurants in her new hometown of Baltimore, traveling with friends and family or cooking at home.
