Cate is lucky enough to call the evergreen State of Washington her home after growing up in the north of England and spending time living in both Asia and Africa. She joined TREES in March 2023 as the Vice President of Development and Communications, attracted to TREES’ mission of growing vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems and a healthier planet. She now leads a team of fundraising, partnership and communications superstars who work tirelessly to support the organization’s goals. Cate aims to create partnerships that ensure not only financial support but also knowledge, innovation, and thought leadership.
Prior to TREES, she founded and led &co, a Partnership Consultancy working to support social impact across sectors for health, education, conservation, supply chains, digital literacy and policy change. As Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy at PSI, she led global corporate partnerships and helped create the Maverick Collective, a women led high net worth alliance of philanthropists. In a previous life, she led advertising campaigns for Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Ford and Kellogg’s across Northeast Asia for JWT. Time away from work includes wandering the beaches and trails of her home on Vashon Island with her husband and pup, as well as local stages as an actor for a number of local theatre companies.
