Jabez Ojowa is the Chief Financial Officer of Trees for the Future, Inc
Jabez oversees Tree’s global accounting, finance, contracts, internal controls, financial planning and analysis, audits, taxation, global compliance, organization-wide decision making and risk mitigation, and automation of accounting and financial management processes. Jabez has detailed knowledge and experience of operating effectively and efficiently in all our countries and many more that Trees plans to enter soon.
With over 20 years of non-profit contracts and grants management with organizations focused work in Africa and Asia, Jabez has a proven track record of success leading finance and accounting teams in global organizations with significant scale and complexity. Jabez joined Trees after a tenure as Regional Finance Director, Africa and Middle East. Prior to that, he worked for African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF) and Excelsior Firm LLC in finance, accounting, operations, and grants management roles.
Jabez holds an MBA from Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa, bachelor’s degree in commerce (Accounting) from Strathmore University in Kenya, and he is Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.
