Leslye joined TREES as Vice President of Global Human Resources in October 2024. She brings a deep commitment to empowering and supporting the team in their mission to cultivate vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems, and a healthier planet. In her role, she leads talent management, employee engagement, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance. Leslye is passionate about building dynamic teams that celebrate diversity, authenticity, compassion, and continuous growth.
Before joining TREES, Leslye was the Director of People & Culture at Global Health Corps, an NGO that mobilize a diverse community of leaders to advance global health equity. Prior to that, she was the Director of Global Human Resources at One Acre Fund, an NGO that provides smallholder farmers in East Africa with asset-based financing and agricultural training to improve the lives of farm families.
Leslye began her career as an education volunteer with the Peace Corps in Ethiopia and Georgia. She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Spanish from Texas A&M University.
Outside of the office, Leslye is a houseplant enthusiast, an adventurous at-home chef, and an improv performer. She currently resides in Washington, D.C.
