Trees for the Future Receives $50,000 Earth Day Pledge from Longtime Partner Displate
Displate to Match Donations Made April 20th – 22nd up to $50,000
Washington DC (April 18, 2023) — Trees for the Future and Displate are teaming up to plant double the change this Earth Day. Metal poster company Displate is pledging to match $50,000 in gifts made to TREES from Thursday, April 20th through Saturday, April 22nd.
“This Earth Day, we’re breaking the cycles of hunger, poverty, and environmental destruction with the help of our supporter community,” says Director of Business Development Brian MacNair. “Thanks to Displate, that support will go twice as far, helping us reach thousands of farmers and plant hundreds of thousands of trees.”
TREES is a regenerative agroforestry nonprofit training farmers across sub-Saharan Africa in a technique called the Forest Garden Approach. Farmers plant thousands of trees on their own property and dramatically increase their access to nutritional foods and a steady source of income. They receive the tools, resources, and knowledge they need for their land and family to prosper for generations.
Metal poster company Displate plants ten trees with Trees for the Future for every poster they sell. To date, they’ve planted 18.3 million trees and helped to train thousands of Farmers in the Forest Garden Approach.
